I read a post about national tea cosy competition and I couldn’t resist not to take part in it. I had some ideas and I have chosen not so traditional one.
I had an old jacket which was put away for a long time now. I thought to myself that the fabric is stylish and warm, and suits perfectly. It seemed would be easy to do, but it wasn’t (because of my lack of sewing knowledge).
I was preparing all step-by-step pictures, but my daughter found them boring and deleted all (apologizes). I cut half of jacket’s back side. Then I cut it in two pieces and with a help of a plate I made top of the each piece circular shape. My next step was to stitch wedding to the main fabrics and sew them together on the top. After that, I sewed in the lining and added few pieces of chains to decorate it.

May the best tea cosy win!
P.S. I used just a half of back side for this tea cosy, so it’s plenty left for my other projects :).
