Knitted newborn gift set (free pattern) 10

One of my friends was pregnant, and I started to knit a gift set for a baby.  I wanted to make a blanket and a toy. Scan showed she was expecting to have a baby-girl (but that was a boy :)), so I thought a mouse will be perfect.

Mouse was next. I used the pattern below to make it:

I knitted all pieces as shown in pattern. To save myself from sewing narrow legs and arms I knitted foot first (from the pattern), sewed and padded it. Then I took stitches to knit a long leg (as shown below):

After that I sewed all parts together, padded it and that was it. A lovely Mister Mouse was sitting and looking at me.

It was the first time I was knitting a toy and I’m really happy about the result. Hope little baby-boy will be more happier than me.

Enjoy!
