Knitted Cardigan-Coat 1

I’ve got an order to knit two cardigan-coats for my client’s nieces (3 and 1 years old). I was happy to take it, and this is the result: Knitted Girl's Cardigan-Coat

We wanted to make these cardigans with a high necks, but the yarns I was working with contains 25% wool which might be itchy so, I covered the inner sides of the necks with cotton fabric. knitted cardigan-coat

I also stitched the same fabric on the cardigans’ edges and made a rectangle decorations on the back of each cardigan. knitted cardigan-coat

I wanted to add one more detail to each of these cardigans, so I crocheted two ribbons which I used as a button loops.

It was hard to decide which way the button loops look better: stitched on the inner side or on the top of the garment. So, for one cardigan I stitched it on the inner side (picture above) and for another – on the top.

And my last task was to sew on 23 yellow and baby pink wooden buttons.

I enjoyed making these cardigans, hope two little sisters will enjoy wearing them as well.
